Kyneton’s Rangers women’s teams have now played their last competition games, which sees Div 2 progress to the finals next weekend.

In 2024, Kyneton had its first team in the Division 1 league, and it has been a big season for the team to experience a step up in the great quality of women’s football that is played in our regional area.

Though it was a very tough season with Kyneton only winning one game, the whole team put in a top effort – they turned up to training and to every game with a great spirit to play the sport they all love.

Watch out for this team as it grows into itself in the new division.

Kyneton Div1 Women’s Team: Back L-R: Ron Cole (coach), Bronte Randle, Simone Hooppell, Zara Hooppell, Isha Kuyateh, Ava Coleman, Lorelei Cook, Maddie Hacche. Front L-R: Lenka Thompson, Sian Hooppell, Bec Cole (captain), Sienna Scott, Emma Tricarico.

Kynetons Div 2 women’s team did well this season, seeing it head into the finals next week. Dubbed the “Fun Division”, this team always had a positive air about them coming into each game as they sought to play hard and play fun.

Ending the season games with a whopping 13-0 against Epsom, the team will come together again for extra training sessions to help in their coming finals games.

A great season for both teams that coach, Ron Cole, has had to manage and dedicate time and effort to. Here’s cheers to a mighty 2024 for Kyneton women’s and women’s soccer in the region.
