Rev into Autopia on Sunday

Hot rods, muscle cars, street cars, custom bikes and project vehicles will be showcased at Autopia.

All roads lead to Autoplex Castlemaine on Sunday for the Castlemaine Hot Rod Centre’s annual ‘Autopia’ extravaganza.

Autopia will once again showcase a wide array of vehicles including muscle cars, street cars, hot rods, custom bikes and project vehicles.

There will also be a trade alley and a range of exhibitors featured.

The family friendly event kicks off at 9am and runs until 3pm.

Cars are invited to roll in for the Show ‘n’ Shine component of Autopia from 8am and there will be some incredible custom-made trophy prizes up for grabs on the day including: Top Custom Classic, Top Custom Bike, Gate Keeper’s Choice, Top Street Car and Top Hot Rod.

The unique car themed trophies have been crafted by the talented Glenn Rewell of ‘Custom Iron Works’.

The event will also include food vendors, activities for the kids, and live entertainment by Deuces Acoustic Duo featuring talented locals Colleen Garsed and Phil Green. Autoplex Castlemaine can be found at 35 Etty Street, Castlemaine. Admission is just $10 for adults. Children under 10 free.

The local club is also gearing up to hosting a number of local pre-events from Monday April 14 to Thursday April 17 for car enthusiasts visiting Bendigo for the ASRF Nationals including tours of The Harley City Collection, Hadfield’s Hot Rods, a visit to the Guildford Grumpies headquarters, a tour of The Mill Castlemaine, and a visit to Autoplex Castlemaine.
