Dicko blushes with pink pride

Gordon Dickeson has relinquished his bright pink locks and raised more than $8000 for the Breast Cancer Foundation Australia.

The Kyneton identity was compelled to make ‘‘Dicko’s Pink and Trim’ pledge as his own partner battles the disease.

Dicko has received loads of support for his fundraising campaign and thanks everyone for their generous donations to this worthy cause, especially the crew he has worked with at Powercor until his retirement just last week.

“A special thank you to Citipower/Powercor management, employees and the amazing crew at the Kyneton depot for the generous amount donated,” he said.

“A special mention to field leader Gary Scanlon, public relations officer Fergus Payne, and to Angela and Wayne at the Midland Express for their support.

“To Deb and Joe at Joe’s Barber Shop in Kyneton, thank you for your generosity and assistance in supporting me in my endeavour to raise money for the Breast Cancer Foundation Australia.

“Thank you to Bree for the entertaining afternoon and colouring me bright pink!

“To each and every person who has donated to this fundraiser and to the people who have donated anonymously, a huge thank you, my goal has been exceeded beyond my wildest expectations and I truly appreciate everyone’s support.”
