Advisor and speechwriter to Premier and Prime Minister, screenwriter, satirist and traveller, Don Watson is the author of 13 books.
His latest offering, Watsonia: A Writing Life, features musings on subjects as diverse as Travel and Terrorism, Language and Leadership, Football and Faith and, most intriguingly, the question of Australia: Who are we? Where are we? And where do we go from here?
Watson will sign copies of his books and share some of his thoughts, in conversation at the Norma Richardson Hall, 15 Buckland Street, Woodend at 4pm on Saturday September 11, as guest of the Macedon Ranges Rural Australians for Refugees.
Tickets are $25 each and all proceeds from admission will be donated to the cause of supporting refugees in Australia.
Organisers are hopeful that COVID-19 restrictions will not intrude, but should it become necessary to cancel the event, all tickets will be refunded. If attendance limitations are imposed, tickets will be refunded on a ‘last in, first out’ basis.
Bookings for the event are essential and should be made on the TryBooking website: www.trybooking.com/BSYAU
