A truck driver has walked away unscathed after his garbage truck crashed onto its side in a residential street in Kyneton last Friday.
The accident occurred shortly after 7am at the bottom of a hill in Riverwalk Boulevard, when the truck careened through a fence and came to a stop in a paddock. The Midland Express understands the driver was not inside the vehicle at the time of its crash.
A Macedon Ranges Shire Council spokesperson said they were currently investigating the incident.
“Our procedure with an incident like this is to work with our kerbside collection contractor, Four Seasons Waste, to investigate exactly what has happened,” the spokesperson said.
“These investigations, include talking to the driver and reviewing dashcam footage, will inform any further actions required.”
Emergency services did not attend the scene.
