Perry’s Stockfeed and Saddlery has given Kyneton CFA a boost with a $1462 donation.
Perry’s donated $1 from every bag of stock feed sold during a week-long campaign.
Rexine Perry said they wanted to do something to acknowledge the efforts of volunteer firefighters.
“The idea of supporting our local fire brigade came about when we were discussing making a donation to a worthy cause to support those affected by the fires,” she said.
“We hoped that a $1 per bag donation would help create awareness with our customers of the role the Kyneton Fire Brigade played in fighting the fires in East Gippsland and how important they are to Kyneton.”
The Perry family gathered at their Edgecombe Road Mill last week to present the cheque.
Brigade captain Josh Gamble thanked Perry’s for their support.
“This support shows what a great community we have and we’ll make sure that every dollar works hard to help keep our local area safe,” he said.
