Looking to continue their unbeaten run of 11 wins, the Kyneton senior soccer men took on fourth-placed Laverton at Barkly Square on Sunday.
The ground was heavy from the recent rain and both teams were looking early for the opening goal of the game.
A great run involving several of the Rangers lads had Jarryd Cole on the end of it finding the back of the net to take the lead. The half continued to be played at a great pace with Kyneton going into the second half one-nil up.
The match continued with much of the same as the first with Laverton attacking the Rangers net looking for the equaliser, but the Kyneton defence held strong. It was the Rangers lads on the break that found a second goal when Daniel Reeves was able to find space and beat the keeper one on one
The result of two-nil extended Kyneton’s unbeaten run to 12 games.
