Liam Howley produced a lightly raced three-year-old for an impressive win at Geelong on Friday.

Ridden by Harry Coffey, Fiftysevenyears was sent out as a $3.30 chance after finishing third at his previous start at Bendigo on March 9.

The Street Boss – Belle Chanteeler galloper has his only previous start as a two-year-old at Flemington.

From barrier 1, Coffey positioned Fiftysevenyears on the pace and had no hesitation in taking the lead.

Travelling well, Fiftysevenyears won the 1540m Cement Australia Maiden Plate by 2.5 lengths from outsider Backlit Beauty.

Howley, who has been in the process of transferring some of his team from Kyneton to Macedon Lodge, is likely to give the three-year-old a chance to prove himself in higher level company.
