Pleasant mild conditions are applicable for today’s New Year’s Day race meeting at Hanging Rock.
The program begins with the first race, a BM58 Handicap over 1600 metres, at 1.30pm.
Small fields are the order of the day, with nine runners in the BM52 Handicap over 1800m at 4.05pm making it the day’s largest field.
The final race, a BM58 Handicap over 2400m, takes place at 4.40pm.
Kyneton trainer Mick Sell has topweight Patsy’s Star in this event.
Patsy’s Star won at Ararat on November 26 and then ran seventh at Seymour.
There will be free kids’ activities, giveaways, and live entertainment on course.
A shuttle bus service will link up with the railway station at Woodend.
