Five championship wins to Kyneton

Kyneton's U16 Girls were undefeated all year to claim the championship.

After the season’s end, Kyneton District Soccer Club secured five junior teams at the top of the ladder claiming them FV Greater Bendigo League Champions. This is the premier winning spot in soccer that shows a teams consistency in skill and game play over the whole season.

KDSC president Ron Cole said the coaches and players did a great job throughout the season and their efforts and fair play had been rewarded.

“Congratulations to all the KDSC members who won and to all our members for a fantastic year,” he said.

KSDC fielded 15 teams in the juniors section of the league and the following teams took home the glory:

U16 Girls (undefeated): coaches Gordon Adams, Josh Smith, team manager Blair Richardson

U12A Girls (undefeated): coaches Lenka Thompson, Seamus McKenna, and team manager Paul McPhee

U12A Mixed (undefeated): coaches Dan Scott, Piotr Bankowski, team manager Luke Wilson

U12B Mixed (undefeated): coaches Andrew Gloyns, Mark Wasley, and team manager Kara Adams

U12C Mixed Maroon: coaches Rohan Meggs, Preethipal Singh, team manager Kellie Booman

KDSC also enjoyed other great achievements with two teams as Championship Runners-up:

U14 Girls Blue: coach Isha Kuyateh

U12B Girls White: coaches Nina Cunningham, Shane Christmass and team manager Emma Warren
