Ritchies Supermarkets has acquired the Woodend IGA supermarket and liquor store from the Marks family.
The acquisition was finalised on November 27.
Ritchies is excited to bring more brands and products to the shelves with the addition of 30 shelving bays, as well as introducing greater specials to the end displays of the grocery bays.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Woodend IGA supermarket and liquor store into the Ritchies family,” said Fred Harrison, CEO at Ritchies Supermarkets.
“Our focus has always been on providing exceptional value and service to our customers, and we look forward to continuing this tradition in Woodend.”
Ritchies Supermarkets is also excited to introduce the community of Woodend to the Ritchies Loyalty Program. This program not only rewards customers for their loyalty with exclusive specials weekly but also gives back to the community.
A percentage of each member’s spend at the store is donated to a club, school or charity of the members choice.
To date, the program has contributed over $53 million to support various organisations, making a positive impact on communities throughout VIC, NSW and QLD.
In addition to this, Ritchies Supermarkets is committed to retaining existing staff members and creating new employment opportunities within the local community as part of the transition.
