Woodend teams made a big impact in Macedon Ranges Tennis Association’s Open Thursday night competition finals.
The finals matches were played across four sections.
Section 1 resulted in Woodend defeating Gisborne; Romsey was too strong for Lancefield in Section 2.
Woodend Funky Squad defeated Woodend Wombats in the Sectio 3 final, and Woodend defeated Riddells Creek in Section 4.
The competition returns in February for the Spring season.
Any tennis enthusiasts wishing to participate should contact their local club(s).
The MRTA also runs competitions for Wednesday night women, Saturday Juniors, and Saturday afternoon Open.
