Song with heart tops charts

Macedon Ranges country music artist Donna Fisk has topped the Australian Airplay country charts with her hit Shoulder at the Wheel.
The song, produced by Robert Angello, Nashville, was the theme for a Trentham community led hay run to help “the forgotten” farmers and community of Lake Cargelligo, earlier this year.
Fisk joined the convoy along with Kyneton artist Daniel Butterworth and other creatives to deliver not only hay but extra joy through song and art.
The hay run formed when Rose Wilson and fellow artists of The Little Gallery in Trentham hosted an art raffle of their work to purchase some hay for the farmers in drought.
Soon enough more than 300 large bales and extra fuel money was donated from local farmers and the community.
Trucker brothers Big Al, Little Jimmy, Big Jo Dickerson and the spirit of Big Rob Dickerson/ phantom 309, put their hands up to deliver hay straight to the source and were later joined by others to help truck 10 loads of hay.
Wilson, who often uses rural subject matter in her work, was inspired to start painting farmer portraits from pictures her friend had sent from the local stock and station agent in Lake Cargelligo.
Butterworth, with his fast portrait style, produced 17 Lake Cargelligo farmer portraits and donated all proceeds to the cause.
