Singer/songwriter Taylor Sheridan started his career as a teenager in Kyneton and describes his music as ‘soulfully acoustic’.
His influences vary from Stevie Wonder all the way to James Taylor and he always tries to combine elements of these different styles and make something fresh.
“I love the storytelling of acoustic folk and the singer/songwriter thing, but singing soulfully is something that feels incredibly natural to me,” he says.
“Lyrics and melody are where my heart lies but if you find the right chords that genuinely excite you, that’s the real payoff.”
Having released two independent EPs and a string of singles that have featured in the iTunes Top 10, Taylor has toured all around the country playing with some of Australia’s finest acts including Pete Murray, Vanessa Amorosi, Daryl Braithwaite, Jon Stevens and John Farnham.
Taylor will be performing at Macedon Railway Hotel on Saturday August 13, 7pm – 10.30pm.
