Fun for everyone at the truck show

Local entertainer Tim Tim will entertain the young and young at heart at this year's Truck Show.

Excitement is building for the 2022 HHA and Larsen’s Castlemaine Rotary Truck Show.

It is being held November 26 and 27 at the Campbells Creek Recreation Reserve and is the local service club’s major annual fundraiser.

Live music will be performed by the Country Rock ‘n’ Roll Music Roadshow starring Peter Coad OAM, the Coad Sisters, and the Jim Hermel Band is sure to be a hit.

While the band is a regular at the Tamworth Music Festival and performs across Australia, this will be their first appearance in Castlemaine.

They will be on stage from 5pm to 8pm on the Saturday evening and again on Sunday at 10.30am and 2pm.

Host Miss Minnie Trucker is delighted to be introducing Tamworth graduates Craig Lloyd and Elisha Francesca to the stage.

A resident of the Macedon Ranges, Craig recently had his latest single, ranked third on the country music charts while Elisha is an emerging singer-songwriter based in Melbourne.

Local entertainer Tim Tim has a range of fun activities lined up on both days for the children.

There will also be face painting, a jumping castle, and a chair ride to keep kids entertained for hours at no cost.

In addition to the amazing trucks on show, the miniature truck enthusiasts will be over on the netball courts and the Pioneers and Old Residents have loaned part of their recent History of Transport in the Mount Alexander Shire display for viewing in the clubrooms.

Add to that catering on site and you have the perfect weekend to entertain the whole family.

Admission is $15 for adults or $25 for a family (under 16 free) with proceeds raised going to support local community projects and youth scholarships administered by the Rotary Club of Castlemaine.
