Harrison Sheahan and Lucas Cavigan represented the Macedon Ranges in the Cricket Victoria Under 17 Bendigo Summer Series on January 10-13.
Harrison is a 16-year-old left-arm fast bower from Kyneton who played in the Cricket Victoria Under 17 Vic Country State team. Lucas is a 15-year-old batsman from Romsey was a part of the CV XI Emerging Players team.
This competition was played in lieu of the Under 17 National Carnival, which was scheduled in Tasmania but cancelled due to the pandemic.
Both boys also represented the GDCA in the recent Under 17 Barwon/Central Highlands Country week and were a part of the team who won the series against Colac.
The boys are now preparing to be a part of the Under 17 Premier Cricket Dowling Shield competition to be played across five rounds.
Harrison will again lead the bowling attack for Melbourne University while Lucas will be a crucial part of the batting lineup for Essendon.
The boys have also both recently debuted for the Premier twos for these clubs respectively.
Fellow players acknowledge the huge achievement at such a young age and agree they are two talented cricketers of whom the Macedon Ranges should be proud.
