The annual Australia Day races at Hanging Rock are one of the major drawcard attractions in the district next Monday.
Being a public holiday, thousands are expected to flock to The Rock for an enjoyable family day out.
Kyneton and Hanging Rock Racing Club is looking forward to the program, highlighted by the running of the 2026 bet365 Hanging Rock Cup.
The meeting is a follow-up to the club’s very successful New Year’s Day meeting, and a lead-in to the annual Woodend Cup Day to be held at Kyneton racecourse.
It’s an opportunity to celebrate Australia Day at the iconic venue which has proved popular across the generations for both locals and visitors alike.
The club has Kelly Sports and limited FREE Country Racing Merchandise bags to keep the younger generation entertained.
Shuttle buses will run to convey racegoers from Woodend train station to ‘The Rock’ and return.
Gates open at 11am. Fields for next Monday’s meeting are yet to be declared.
