Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle crash on the Calder Freeway south of Kyneton just before 3pm this afternoon.
An orange-coloured ute towing a trailer loaded with another utility lost control on a downhill section of the freeway.
The trailer ‘jack-knifed’ causing its load to roll and the towing vehicle to collide with the wire rope barrier.
Melbourne lanes were affected for about an hour as tow trucks cleared the wreckage.
CFA brigades from Kyneton and Carlsruhe checked the vehicles for fuel leaks and assisted in the clean up.
The driver, who was the sole occupant, was uninjured.
