Learn all about basic bicycle maintenance at the next Castlemaine and Surrounds Repair Cafe on Sunday.
A bicycle expert will show you how to do basic repairs and adjustments. Register your interest in the bike maintenance with Chris on 5470 5508.
If you have any broken or malfunctioning household appliances, or sewing repairs, you can bring those along for the volunteer repairers to have a look. If you’d like to learn to sew or just do some sewing there’s a spare machine and people to assist.
When you come to the Repair Cafe you fill out a registration form and weigh your item so there’s a record of what is being kept out of landfill. You then wait in a queue for an available repairer. It’s first in, first served. If the Cafe is very busy, the last item taken is at 12.30pm.
As there’s no one to help out in the kitchen this time, if you want a hot drink bring a thermos. New helpers and repairers are welcome. For more information call Chris on 5470 5508 or go to the facebook page. If leaving a phone message, please leave your phone number clearly.
