Gisborne set for QEO

Gisborne has a record-breaking seven teams in Bendigo League Grand Finals.

Gisborne Football Netball Club has a record-breaking seven teams in Bendigo League Grand Finals at the Queen Elizabeth Oval tomorrow (Saturday).

The Bulldogs won the senior football grand final in 2022, missed the finals last season, and won the A-grade netball premiership by a goal last season.

As Gisborne president John Wood pointed out this week, the club is extremely proud to have seven teams playing tomorrow.

In the Michelsen Medal count last weekend, Gisborne ruckman Braidon Blake and prolific ball winner Brad Bernacki tied with Sandhurst’s Lacklan Tardrew for the league’s top individual award. All received 20 votes.

The U18s football grand final begins at 9.15am, the Reserves at 11.50am, and the seniors at 2,20pm.
