Well-known Castlemaine local Denise Button is set to appear on the Nine network’s Millionaire Hot Seat.
While not revealing too much about the outcome, the popular game show’s producers say the Castlemaine publicist and events manager will be vying to win $50,000.

“I just decided to go on the show to have a fun day out,” Denise revealed to the Express in recent days.
“Filming was six weeks ago. It was fabulous. I turned into this different person … got really cheeky.”
While some of Denise’s friends say that’s nothing new, being part of the show’s making was certainly a new experience for the Castlemaine resident.

“My main aim was just to not end up on the bottom – and my other main aim was just not to make a d … of myself,” she says.
“In the lead up to it you need to provide five random stories about your life and the more ridiculous the more they love them.”

Denise had a ripper yarn to please the producers.
Her own true story, going back a few years, involves a crazy personal experience in Egypt where she, her partner and a friend were each blackmailed before they were able to be reunited.
“It was my first big trip overseas and we were on a camel trip around the Giza pyramid…” she says.
“The thing about Millionaire Hot Seat is it’s not just about the quiz. It’s also about people’s lives.
“It was really interesting hearing the other people’s stories.
“It was a really slick operation.”

While we know that Denise came out of her 1994 Egyptian blackmailing experience intact, to discover just how she emerges from her stint on Millionaire Hot Seat you’ll have to watch the episode on July 5.
